2008 Geneseo Rotary Summer Festival

Welcome to the 27th Annual Geneseo New York Rotary 2008 Summer Festival on July 11-13 at the Geneseo Village Park. We are pleased to again present this long standing community event. It has been heartwarming to see this festival become a tradition in our community offering multi-generational family activities and fund raising opportunities for many organizations.

The Summer Festival is our club's largest annual fundraiser, which has truly emerged as the impetus for Geneseo's greatest annual weekend celebration. The celebration includes the downtown merchants sidewalk sales on Main St., which begins on Thursday, July 10th. The Geneseo Air Show, presented by the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group on the same days as our festival can be seen from the festival grounds. Also featured on Friday evening is the annual. concert by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Festival is held each year on the weekend following the Fourth of July weekend. The Festival draws thousands of people from our region to see friends, browse the Crafters booths, enjoy the entertainment, play games and eat lots of delicious food. The highlight of the festival is the large outdoor free concert by The Skycoasters on Saturday from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

The hundreds of children that participate in  The Teddy Bear Parade on Saturday morning are entertained when they arrive at the Festival grounds by Gary the Happy Pirate.  Sunday morning , after the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, the Churches of Geneseo offer an Outdoor Service at 10:30 AM.

Enjoy the annual Antique Car Show, sponsored by the Geneseo Kiwanis Club, on Sunday frm 9:00AM - 2:00PM also at the Village Park.

Proceeds from the Festival are used to support many local causes and programs, including Boy Scouts, Little League, Teresa House, Scholarships for local students, Exchange Students and many others listed in our program.
